We all want happiness and good living. Here are some resources, green or low-consumption, that can help us get there. Please tell us of any links you think we should add.
Note: Diamond-Cut Life receives no money from anything on this site (or off of it, either). We are in this for the fun of promoting the greater good.

I helped a neighbor build a website to promote her book Cooking Beyond Measure. I think this blog is a good read for anyone interested in sustainable gardening and cooking. Jean’s entire philosophy revolves around this idea of sustainable, organic gardening which is then translated into simple to prepare meals.
The website is: http://www.measurefreerecipes.com
This site is affiliated with CCTV in Salem, and is a video library covering environmental issues, climate change, etc.
Companion site to Barbara Kingsolver’s book Animal, Vegetable, Miracle about a family who spends a year as locavores, growing, raising, and eating only foods produced in their immediate area. Excellent book.
Chad, Measure Free Recipes site looks good and I added it to the page. Thanks; you’ve entered the contest.
Jill, the video library site you sent isn’t operating, but is still under construction, so I can’t add it to the page. And you didn’t send the link to the companion site to Animal, Vegetable, Miracle.
Hi Jill,
We actually already have the link to Animal, Vegetable, Miracle on the resources page – it’s listed under Food & Sustainability. We’d gladly list another if you have one!
this site is linked to a farm in northern Virginia and a different way of life. It focuses on incorporating “nature intelligence,” and balance, and celebrates the power of the individual, much like Diamond Cut Life. I haven’t been through it all yet but it sure looks useful and inviting!
Hi Allison, (we have the same name, just spelled differently!)
I’ve examined the Perelandra site and I think it’s excellent. So, I’ve added it to Resources For Good Living and I’m declaring you the winner of the contest for the best single link.
You win a $50 gift certificate to either Powells Books (incredible online selection) or the independently owned, non-chain store of your choice. Congratulations!
Love your site! My business manufactures eco friendly furniture that is uniquely designed to facilitate small space living. Organic, recycled, non-toxic, compact, knock down, and with unusual ideas for living well in smaller dwellings and work spaces. Feel free to reprint any articles. I’ve got one called ‘The Lean Green Dwelling” on the ‘articles’ page.
