Portlandia On Mount Tabor

August 10th, 2012 by Alison · 2 Comments · home & garden, lifestyle, Oregon

For my readers outside the U.S., Portlandia is a comedy TV show that makes fun of Portland Oregon’s green and progressive foibles. My husband and I are renting out the house we used to live in, and this post is what we posted yesterday on Craigslist. We have eight appointments tomorrow with people who want to see our Portlandia-ish house. Please share this link with anyone you think would be interested. If you are interested, please post a comment here. After we get the house rented (a time-intensive enterprise), I plan to post on a topic that’s less provincial :)

Lush garden with berries and fruit trees. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. Heated with biodiesel, cooled with solar-powered fan. Glowing hardwood floors.  Sun-drenched attic, large basement, Energy Star appliances. Twenty minute bike ride to downtown, or use frequent bus line #15. Walk in five minutes to forested Mount Tabor park or to cafes and coffee shops. Low carbon footprint, high levels of delight. If this is a lifestyle you’d like, let us hear from you. Please have a good credit score. $1,500/month. 1240 square feet.
