With millions laid off and needing work, I’ve been meaning for months to write a post with practical advice on finding work. But someone else is doing a much better job of it than I could. Jim Landis just posted a comment on Laid Off: Not A Disaster If . . . and thus alerted me to his excellent site I Was Laid Off.
I Was Laid Off is a treasure-trove of information on job search, interviews, life skills, target companies and finances. I especially like Mr. Landis’s constructive, can-do approach to having been laid off — no self-pity for him. Even if you already have a job, his site would be excellent to visit and bookmark, because all of us know someone who needs to find a job. The diamond-cut life (low in consumption, rich in joy) thrives on shared information.
