I’m grateful for all the bright, highly motivated people who read my Great, Green Job Opening post and recently applied to be my assistant program manager as I lead the Governor’s Commuter Challenge. I’ve now hired one of them!
As a team and with the help of many others in the Capitol Mall, we’ll be working all summer to reduce carbon emissions by half a million pounds.
If you’re still looking for work in sustainability, my best recommendation is to make use of career counselor Vicki Lind, based in Portland, Oregon. I call her the maven of green careers, and she’s been instrumental in my evolution from self-employed artist and mental health counselor to becoming a professional in transportation options.
Coming up soon: my on-the-ground report from the Arizona desert. I’m flying out early tomorrow to visit my friend Jean for a mini-vacation. I plan to buy my carbon offsets from Little Carbon Feet, soon to go live.
